Iran should not respond to Israeli provocation, by Farhang Jahanpour
This is a link to a live interview I gave to Matt Frei on the LBC channel on Saturday, 13 April 2024. I said that it would be wiser if Iran did not respond to Israeli provocation of attacking the Iranian Consulate in Damascus the previous week, which had killed seven Iranian IRGC generals and officials and six Syrians. The same night, Iran launched drone and missile attacks at the Israeli military base from which the attack on the Iranian Consulate had been launched. All sides should work hard to make sure that these tit-for-tat attacks do not turn the genocidal Gaza war into a wider regional war.
